CRISIS FUND
The Crisis Fund is available to help individuals and community groups when an unforeseen crisis arises.
Eligibility
Support is available for constituted community groups based on Mull, Iona Ulva, Gometra and Erraid for projects which benefit residents of those islands. Groups must have a bank account for which two or more signatures are required to authorise payments.
Support is available for individuals or families living on Mull, Iona, Ulva or Erraid facing a personal emergency or crisis.
Information and Guidance
- Applications should provide information on what expenditure is for
- Grants of up to £500 are available
- Examples of ways the crisis fund could help individuals or families include – meeting short term daily living expenses, rent payments, board/lodgings charges, pre-paid meter fuel debt, travel expenses if you need to get off or on the island quickly, household items, food, childcare expenses
- Examples of ways the crisis fund could help your community group include – contribution towards repairs of community vehicles, emergency maintenance following storm damage (not normal wear and tear or age related damage) etc. Each case will be viewed individually and may be subject to an interview with a Trustee
