The Community Café Fund offers support of up to £1000 for regular events that bring people together, reducing isolation and improving well-being.
This fund can be claimed at any time of the year for regular events that encourage local people to congregate together for a blether and refreshment, with the aim of reducing isolation and improving health and well-being. Applicants can be awarded one grant of up to £1,000 per 12 month period. The grant funds can cover items such as:
- Venue hire and basic equipment such as soup kettles
- Volunteer or outside catering
- Volunteer or community transport costs
- Electricity costs may be claimed if the venue requires the Café organisers to pay separately for that electricity (e.g., coin-operated heaters)
Eligibility
- You are a non-profit, constituted community group
- Your regular event will take place at a local community hall
Information and Guidance
- Grants of up to £1,000 are available
- Applications to this fund are open year-round
- Recipients of a grant from the Community Hall Heating Fund can also receive assistance from the Community Café Fund where appropriate
- Successful applicants must complete reporting forms post-funding and provide proof of purchases with receipts and a breakdown of spending
