Community Hall Heating Fund

The Community Hall Heating Grant offers financial assistance of up to £500 for community spaces to help cover heating costs.

In the winter months, Community and Village Halls can be a lifeline to the lonely and a place to build community. These halls provide space for meals, activities, and a place for neighbours to gather. To help subsidise the rising costs of heating, The Community Halls Heating Assistance Grant offers general financial assistance to help cover the expense our community spaces incur over the winter season.

Eligibility

  • Applicants need to be in community ownership or control, and payments can only be made into a bank account for the applicant’s organisation
  • Hall must be based on Mull, Iona, Ulva, Gometra or Erraid
  • A Hall can be any building that serves as a gathering space for community events or that can be hired for community events
